On Thursday, Feb. 20, two dozen former Fairfield Prep basketball players were welcomed back to Alumni Hall for the Jesuits final regular season home game in the facility.

The alumni in attendance came from classes as recent as 2015 and as far back as 1945. During half time, Principal Dr. Tommy de Quesada greeted each alumnus on the George Bisacca Court, accompanied by cheers from the students, parents, family and friends gathered in the stands.

Later this year, Fairfield University will begin taking down Alumni Hall, one of the longest standing buildings on the Fairfield U. campus. In its place, Fairfield U. will construct the new Arena & Convocation Center, an 85,000-square foot multi-use structure for basketball games, volleyball games, university events, and concerts.

There is one final event to celebrate Alumni Hall before it is taken down. There will be a "Last Call at Alumni Hall" farewell reception hosted by Fairfield University in conjunction with Fairfield Prep, on Saturday, March 7, from 7 to 10 p.m. in Alumni Hall.
