The Fairfield Prep Community is invited to attend two upcoming events as we bid farewell to Alumni Hall — the home court for the Prep Jesuits Basketball Team and the longest standing building on the Fairfield University campus.
The Jesuits will play their last home game against East Haven on Thursday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m. During half time Prep will recognize the basketball alumni who have competed over the years at Alumni Hall. (Any basketball alumni who are interested in attending the Feb. 20 game should email Alumni Director Kathy Norell at knorell@fairfieldprep.org).
The second event is the "Last Call at Alumni Hall" farewell reception, hosted by Fairfield University in conjunction with Fairfield Prep, on Saturday, March 7, from 7 to 10 p.m. in Alumni Hall. Remarks will be given by Fairfield University President, Mark R. Nemec, PhD, and by Rev. Charles H. Allen, S.J., Fairfield U. chaplain and special assistant to the President, who will also lead a special prayer.
The upcoming "Last Call" event will provide guests an opportunity to spend time in the building and share stories about their own experiences in Alumni Hall, before construction begins for the planned new Arena & Convocation Center.
The cost to attend the "Last Call at Alumni Hall" farewell reception is $25 per person, with a portion going to support the planned Arena & Convocation Center. There will be food, drinks, and music – and each guest will receive a vintage Fairfield U. shirt. Attendees are encouraged to show their spirit by wearing red or Prep gear to the event.
