Prep to hold Community Day on Tuesday, March 24

Below is a letter emailed to parents, students, faculty and staff from Principal Dr. Tommy de Quesada.

Dear Prep Families,

I hope your families are well. In addition to working to provide our students with the very best virtual academic experiences, we have also been imagining ways to continue fostering community. On Tuesday, March 24, Prep will offer a Community Day, which will consist of opportunities for special presentations, counseling discussions, peer tutoring and recreational experiences.

Highlights of the day will include sessions led by Fr. Tom Simisky, S.J., Dr. Donna Andrade, and Mr. Matthew Sather. Mr. John Hanrahan, Mr. Kevin Altieri and Mr. Ruben Goodwin will offer a panel presentation titled Being a Self-Starter: Learning in an Online Environment. Mr. Greg Marshall will be hosting a special edition of Prep Jeopardy via Zoom, and Mr. Ruben Goodwin is organizing an E-sports Tournament.

A schedule for the day will be sent on Monday, and we appreciate your support in encouraging your sons to be a part of the day's programming. We will also be incentivizing their participation.

Prep will continue to grow from and embrace the challenge of our current situation. We at Prep feel that the physical distance that separates us has only helped us to further realize our closeness as a family. We miss our students, and the Community Day will go a long way in helping us bring everyone closer together.

Go Prep,

Tommy de Quesada, EdD
Principal
