Prep holds its first Community Day during virtual learning

On Tuesday, March 24, 2020, Fairfield Prep held its first-of-its-kind Community Day, where students participated in special presentations, counseling sessions, peer tutoring and recreational online games.

As faculty and staff continue to navigate and grow in the virtual learning environment, the Community Day offered a reprieve from regular academics and offered a slate of online activities targeting students' hearts and minds.

The day began with prayer and inspirational words offered by President Rev. Tom Simisky, S.J. His message to the community was direct and passionate: "With greatness of heart and a boldness of spirit, which come from God, we are able to take on anything in this world."

The goal was to gather as a community and to offer programming that was formative and engaging for the students. Prep continues to grow from and embrace the challenges created by the global pandemic.

The Prep Community believes the physical distance that separates us has only helped us to further realize our closeness as a family.
