Fairfield Prep honored at Jesuit Gala

On Tuesday, April 9, 2019, Fairfield Prep was honored at the Jesuit Gala 2019 in Boston for its work in educating young men in the mission of Jesuit education.Prep was given the Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam Award, recognizing the school for giving selflessly of itself for the greater glory of God. Prep is one of 10 schools honored at the event, along with Boston College High School, Canisius High School, Cheverus High School, Fordham Prep, Loyola School, McQuaid Jesuit, Regis High School, St. Peter’s Prep and Xavier High School.

"Despite being spread across five states in the northeast, these 10 schools all have a shared Ignatian heritage and mission that can be seen in the competence, compassion and courage of their students," said the Jesuits Northeast Province in a statement on its website.

Prep President Rev. Tom Simisky, S.J., attended the gala and received the reward on Prep's behalf.
