Class of 2021 Graduation and Senior Week

From the Office of Principal Tommy de Quesada

It is with great excitement that we share our plans for the year-end celebrations to honor the Fairfield Prep Class of 2021. Our team has been hard at work to create memorable experiences for our seniors in their final month. We thank the parent and student focus groups who helped to develop our Senior Week, which will culminate with an outdoor Graduation on Sunday, June 6, at 9:00 a.m. on the Prep campus. We have much to celebrate, and are thrilled to share the schedule of events and details:

Tuesday, May 25 - Last Day of Senior Classes

Friday, May 28 - Senior Prom, 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

The Senior Prom will take place in Prep's Pelletier Quad on the evening of Friday, May 28, where the seniors will continue to create Prep history with our first on-campus Prom. It will be a traditional Prom event with semi-formal attire, and one that our senior leaders have been working diligently to plan. Negative COVID tests will be required of the seniors and their dates within 72 hours of the event. Students who have proof of full vaccination will be exempt from the COVID test requirement. Ticket information and additional details will be forthcoming.

Tuesday, June 1 - Senior Luncheon

Seniors are invited to wear apparel from the universities and colleges they will be attending. A special program planned by Mr. Hanrahan and his team will include inspirational talks from our seniors and faculty. Prep's most inspirational teacher will also be honored at the event. Seniors will receive their traditional class "memory" mugs with every graduate's name imprinted.

Wednesday, June 2 - Graduation Rehearsal and Senior Picnic

We will begin with an on-campus Graduation Rehearsal and culminate with a Picnic Lunch and Field Day experience on Grauert Field. Yearbooks will be distributed at Graduation Rehearsal.

Thursday, June 3 - Baccalaureate Mass, 7:00 p.m.

The Baccalaureate Mass will be celebrated on the south side of Arrupe Hall and will be our final liturgy of the academic year. Seniors and their parents are invited to come together as a class for Mass to honor and recognize our graduates for their amazing personal growth and academic achievements. This event will be live-streamed.

Sunday, June 6 - Graduation, 9:00 a.m.

Parents are invited to celebrate Fairfield Prep's 79th Commencement Exercises on Prep's campus. Graduation will have all of the pomp and circumstance that are traditional at Prep with Arrupe Hall as our backdrop. Each family will receive two tickets to attend the graduation ceremony, and the event will be live-streamed and recorded for family and friends.

These are historic times at Fairfield Prep, and we look forward to a series of celebrations worthy of our graduates. More information specific to each of the events will be sent in the coming weeks, but we certainly wanted to offer you a preview of what's to come. Prep's administration, faculty and staff look forward to a year-end experience paying tribute to the Class of 2021. Go Prep!
