Swimming wins 14th consecutive SCC Championship!

The Fairfield Prep swim team won their 14th straight Southern Connecticut Conference Championship meet Wednesday night at the Southern Connecticut State University pool. The Prep swimmers scored 1,445 points, finishing ahead of Daniel Hand (871 points) and Amity High School (778 points). Richard Nolan placed first in the 200IM, Liam Colleran won the 100 backstroke, and Oliver Rus won both the 100 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke. Prep also captured two relays as Rus, Colleran, Billy Duffy and Stan Yarmoussik won the 200 medley relay and Rus, Colleran, Jack Rogers and Duffy won the 200 freestyle relay. Rus, Nolan, Brody Biebel, Colleran, Duffy, Rogers, Yarmoussik and Alec Keblish were all named All-SCC for their performances. The Jesuits swimmers and divers will have two qualifying meets before the Class LL championships on March 14.
