Kairos 46 Retreat builds spiritual bonds and brotherhood

Prep’s 46th Kairos Retreat took place March 27-30 at the Nazareth Spiritual Life Center in Monroe, CT. Thirty juniors and seniors took part in the retreat for the first time; three members of the group came by way of Iona Prep High School as they look to bring the Kairos Retreat program to their school. They were accompanied by 14 team members comprised of seniors and faculty/staff.

The Kairos retreat provides a special time with the Lord. This Christian experience focuses on prayer, reflection, friendship and community. Student candidates gave of themselves generously and by the end of the retreat were certainly committed to the Kairos spirit. A big thank you goes out to the senior student leaders Rector Patrick Corona, Assistant Rector Matt Bennett, Trey Altieri, Ryan Crowell, Kevin Greene, Huythanh Tran, and Cameron Zuckert. Special thanks to the adult leaders Kevin Altieri, Anthony Casella (Iona Prep, Director of Campus Ministry), Tim Dee, Sandra Gizzi, Rick Hutchinson, Matt Jaques and Fr. Ryan, S.J.

This was our final Kairos Retreat for this academic year. Kairos is open to juniors and seniors. Next year’s Kairos Retreats are as follows: November 6-9, January 16-19, and April 2-5. Please contact Mr. Gualtiere with any questions.
