Kairos 45 builds Brotherhood and deepens Faith

Prep’s 45th Kairos Retreat took place February 7-10 at the Nazareth Spiritual Life Center in Monroe, CT. Thirty two juniors and seniors took part in the retreat for the first time; a few members of the group came by way of East Catholic High School in Manchester, CT as they look to bring the Kairos Retreat program to their school. They were accompanied by 13 team members comprised of seniors and faculty/staff. The Kairos retreat provides a special time with the Lord. This Christian experience focuses on prayer, reflection, friendship and community. Student candidates gave of themselves generously and by the end of the retreat were certainly committed to the Kairos spirit.

A big thank you goes out to the student leaders Rector Eric Hoffman, Assistant Rector Jimmy Nealon, Tommy Dolan, Jack Gavey, Chandler Holcomb, Andrew Levinsky, and Rob Salandra. Special thanks to the adult leaders Billie Brooks, Elaine Clark, Christian Cashman, Elliott Gualtiere, Jay Hartling (East Catholic staff member) and Megan Hoover. Kairos is open to juniors and seniors. Space is filling up fast for our last retreat of the year March 27-30, 2012 (10 spaces left as of February 14). Hand in your application and medical release form as soon as possible. Please contact Mr. Gualtiere with any questions.
