Just Beat It Lids for Life Campaign
Drive extended through February 24
As most of the Prep Community is aware, Ryan Brennan, junior ,was diagnosed with a terrible form of cancer this summer. Ryan has undergone surgery and ongoing treatment to "Just Beat It!"
Most cancer patients wind up losing their hair at some point during their treatment. In honor of Ryan, his friend Sean Keane '11 is kicking off the JUST BEAT IT LIDS FOR LIFE campaign here at Prep starting Monday, February 1 through Wednesday, February 24. He has initiated the campaign as part of his Eagle Scout project. Click here for flyer.
Sean is asking fellow Prep classmates to bring in a new beanie to be donated to pediatric cancer patients. Beanies of any color or size are welcome since cancer affects all ages. The goal is to collect 500 beanies which will be donated to Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, St. Vincent’s Hospital, Yale New-Haven Hospital, and Norwalk Hospital. Collection bins will be set up in the cafeteria and Academic Center. Donations of gallon size ziplock plastic bags (to store the beanies) will also be appreciated.
Please join with students from other local schools and support the JUST BEAT IT LIDS FOR LIFE CAMPAIGN. Any questions please contact Seane at firstname.lastname@example.org.
