Milestone C Registration

Fairfield Prep's Science Department is excited to be continuing our partnership with Milestone C to offer MILESTONE C: Engineering & Aviation After School Program at Fairfield Prep during the first semester of the 2018 – 2019 school year.Introduction to Engineering & Aviation

Students are invited to participate in an accelerated version of this course which will be held January 9th – 12th and 14th. This accelerated version will prepare students to participate in the Advanced Engineering & Aviation course

Advanced Engineering & Aviation

Students who completed the Introduction to Engineering & Aviation course in the Spring of 2018 or Fall of 2018 are eligible to enroll in this advanced course. This course will begin on February 11, 2019 and will meet on Monday afternoons from either 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. or 3 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. (depending on date). About the Milestone C Program

Milestone C offers hands-on engineering & aviation experiences facilitating a unique internship environment for high school students. Developed and instructed by lead engineers, veteran aviators, and research scientists from Fortune 500 corporations, this after-school program defines the cutting edge of STEM education, experiential learning, and student engagement.

Designed specifically so that no prerequisites or previous experience would be required, this program aligns with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and include hands-on engineering design projects; leadership/team-building simulations; flight simulator training; critical-thinking & problem-solving exercises; college & career mentorship; guest speaker presentations; professional networking opportunities; and much more. There is no work required outside program hours.
