Class of 2022

Dear Parents of Incoming Freshmen:

Welcome! We have received your deposit and a seat has been reserved for your son in the Fairfield Prep Class of 2022. This letter includes important information about our deadlines for course registration, foreign language and mathematics background, placement testing and summer program. You will receive a separate email containing demographic update and emergency contact forms to be updated. Our Business Office will be contacting you in the spring regarding your selection of a tuition payment plan. Your first task as a member of the Prep community is to participate in the Freshmen Course Selection Process conducted by our Office of the Registrar.

The Office of the Registrar will be in continual contact with you until September as your son’s first Prep course selection procedure unfolds. The process is relatively simple.

Step 1: Review the Class of 2022 General Information and Course Catalog on our website www.fairfieldprep.org Quicklinks/Forms and Documents/Academic forms and documents

  • Our Course Catalog (pages 11-16) describes all courses available to freshmen and the criteria for placement in various levels of certain subjects. Guidance Seminar 1 (no credit but required for graduation), courses in Mathematics and The Arts are also required. Please read the “Course Catalog” carefully before proceeding.
  • The General Information section contains important facts regarding placement in The Arts, Language, and Mathematics; date and times for our placement exams in mathematics and languages; and answers to general questions regarding many of our programs including summer courses (particularly Foundations of Technology & Coding).
  • Any student currently enrolled in a Pre-Algebra class will be placed in a level of Algebra I based on their grades in their current class and a recommendation form that will be sent directly to 8th grade teachers. Students who are currently enrolled in Algebra I or Geometry should click on the appropriate link below. Any student who is currently enrolled in Algebra II or higher should contact Ms. Maureen Bohan, Mathematics Department Chair, directly.
