Welcome to Our Campus

We are happy to welcome you to our Campus & Community page. Each year, Fairfield Prep welcomes hundreds of students and families to tour the Prep facilities, meet our faculty and get a feel of the atmosphere of our amazing campus. In an effort to keep both the Prep Community and visitors safe, we have implemented a number of safety measures including mandatory wearing of masks and greater social distancing.

Prep welcomes you to schedule an in-person tour today by logging in to or creating your Fairfield Prep Admissions Account. We also welcome you to take a look at our photo and video highlights below, beginning with a 360-degree VR tour of the campus.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

A Virtual Look at Fairfield Prep

Fairfield Prep is situated on the modern and scenic campus of Fairfield University. Our school is located on North Benson Road, a short distance from downtown Fairfield and the Fairfield Metro North train station.

The Campus From Above

Prep's campus encompasses three academic buildings — Xavier, Berchman and Arrupe Halls — as well as Brissette Gymnasium.

As a division of Fairfield University, Prep students have access to the University's world-class facilities including Rafferty Stadium,  Alumni Diamond, Quick Center for the Arts, and the DiMenna-Nyselius Library.

The Quad

The geographic and symbolic center of the Fairfield Prep campus, the Quad is the scenic courtyard between all three Prep buildings.

During warmer months, it's common to see teachers take students into the Quad for learning and studying outdoors, as well as a place where intramural sports tournaments — like Wiffle Ball — are played.

Student Life Center

The Student Life Center — frequently referred to as the SLC — is the main hub of daily activity at Fairfield Prep and one of the newest structures on the Prep campus.

Completed in 2015, the SLC provides breakfast and lunch services, as well as a place for socializing and studying throughout the day. The SLC is also the home of Prep's Campus Ministry Office.

Lavery Strength & Fitness Center

The Lavery Strength & Fitness Center is the most recent renovation at Prep. Completed in 2019, the Lavery Center is open to all Prep students and provides the latest in athletic equipment and training.

Our sports teams train here throughout the year, under the supervision of our strength & conditioning coaching staff.

Mission Statement & History Wall

Fairfield Prep's Mission Statement is proudly displayed in multiple locations across our campus.  It serves as a constant reminder of what it is we do and what we stand for as a community.

Our History Wall chronicles Prep's defining moments since our founding in 1942.

Academic Center

The Academic Center is a quiet space located on the second floor of Arrupe Hall, with a distant view of Long Island Sound.

Students spend their time here doing homework, studying for an upcoming test, or getting extra help from peer tutors from our National Honor Society.

Classrooms

In 2014 Prep launched a 1:1 iPad program that combines our classic, Jesuit education with cutting edge digital learning tools. In all of our academic disciplines, technology is used as a way to enhance the learning experience.

As Prep continues to innovate in our rapidly changing times, we will soon welcome two new state-of-the-art projects: The Barrett Science Center coming in fall 2020, and the McLeod Innovation Center, opening in the Spring of 2021.

Athletic Fields & Facilities

As a division of Fairfield University, Prep students have access to its Division I athletic facilities: Rafferty Stadium, Alumni Diamond, Barlow Field, Grauert Field, the Fairfield University swimming pool and Rec-Plex.

How Students Commute to Prep

Train Travel

For any student living within easy access to Metro-North Railroad, commuting by train is easy, quick and convenient. Each day approximately 200 Prep students commute by train.

Fairfield Prep provides shuttle bus transportation back and forth from campus to the Fairfield Railroad Station during the morning and the afternoon.

Town & Paid Buses

The Town of Fairfield provides busing to Fairfield residents who attend Fairfield Prep. We also provide fee-based bus service with stops in Monroe, Trumbull, Wilton and Ridgefield. Information is posted at the beginning of the year.

Carpool

For students who don't live within easy access to Metro-North carpooling is the preferred means of transportation. Prep has partnered with CarpoolToSchool allowing for parents to coordinate on carpooling students to come to Prep.
