Mr. William Evans '73 honored with St. Ignatius of Loyola Alumni Award at annual Mass of the Holy Spirit

Fairfield Prep celebrated the Mass of the Holy Spirit on September 7, 2012. This Mass traditionally opens the academic year at all Jesuit High Schools throughout the world. This year Fairfield Prep honored one of its own, William Evans ’73. Mr. Evans was awarded the St. Ignatius of Loyola Alumni Award which honors an alumnus who best represents the characteristics of the Graduate at Graduation Profile. The five characteristics are: Open to Growth, Intellectually Competent, Religious, Loving and Committed to Doing Justice. The Mass was celebrated by Prep’s President, Fr. Jack Hanwell, S.J., and the homily was given by Fr. Paul Holland, S.J., Rector of the Fairfield Jesuit Community and Student Chaplain for this year.
