ACADEMICS: Overview

Prep offers just one curriculum: college preparatory. All students complete a rigorous course of study including English, mathematics, science, social studies, foreign language, theology and the arts. It's a hands-on education where boys read and write; calculate and draw; form opinions and then defend them. They're taught by faculty who love what they do and have chosen to do it at an all-boys high school. Students like the all-boys atmosphere too: they find they can concentrate on their studies, undistracted by social pressures.

Our classrooms are equipped with the latest in instructional technology, such as interactive smartboards and electronic podiums. And because we're part of Fairfield University, boys have access to resources unrivaled by any other school, including to the University's expansive library and to the high-powered research databases to which the University subscribes. Seniors who excel in subjects like math, science and foreign language can also take college courses at Fairfield University (the fee for which is included in the student's Prep tuition).

Our results speak for themselves: 100 percent of our graduates are accepted every year at four-year colleges. Not only do our graduates find acceptance at the country's top colleges and universities, but just as important, they leave Prep well prepared to succeed and excel throughout their college years.
