Summer Program
Fairfield Prep offers incoming freshmen the option of taking courses in our Summer Program. Courses offered are:
- Computer LIteracy
- Reading & Study Skills
- Effective Writing
- Mathematics
The Computer Literacy course fulfills the academic requirement for this course in freshman year. Thus, students who successfully complete will have a free period during the school year, which they may utilize to get homework done or study for a test.
Although Reading & Study Skills, Effective Writing and Mathematics do not fulfill course requirements, they are nevertheless popular courses during as they help students adjust to the academic challenges and demands they will face in the fall as new freshmen.
Students in the Summer Program also enjoy the added benefit of getting to know both their new school and their fellow Prepsters in a more relaxed setting.
The Summer Program runs for four weeks, usually the last week in June and first three weeks of July. Families of students contemplating the Summer Program should check the schedule as soon as it is published and make vacation plans accordingly.
